Meghan’s mother defended, stating “My daughter didn’t fake her pregnancy,” but it was later revealed that Meghan used a surrogate

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have kept their children out of the spotlight for much of their lives,

however they did share a rather sweet photo of their son Prince Archie with his grandmother Doria Ragland as part of their Netflix docu-series back in 2022.

The adorable snap, which saw Doria holding her grandson alongside daughter Meghan and son-in-law Prince Harry,

has recently been unearthed again, leaving fans of the Sussexes delighted at the rare glimpse at Archie.

The photo appears to have been taken just days after Archie’s birth, when Doria remained close to the then family-of-three in order to offer some support to the new parents.

Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex are joined by her mother,

Doria Ragland, as they show their new son, born on Monday and named as Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, to the Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh

Another snap from the same time saw Doria holding the newborn alone. The photos appear to have both been taken in Frogmore Cottage, where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex lived before relocating to Canada, from where they later moved to the US.

The couple were given the property as a wedding present from the late Queen Elizabeth II, and had used it as their UK base when making returns to the country. However, after ascending to the throne, King Charles evicted the couple from the property.

Since then, Royal author Tom Quinn has shared that the couple likely believed that the property would always be there for them, even after stepping down as working Royals.

Speaking to The Mirror, he explained: “Harry and Meghan imagined Frogmore would always be there for them even if they came back to the UK for just a few weeks each year and even if they were no longer working royals. That assumption speaks volumes about just how out of touch with each other King Charles and his son had become.”

In his memoir, Spare, which released in 2023, Harry fondly recalled his time at Frogmore, writing: “Meg and I moved our office into Buckingham Palace. We also moved into a new home. Frogmore was ready. We loved that place. From the first minute. It felt as if we were destined to live there.

“We couldn’t wait to wake up in the morning, go for a long walk in the gardens, check in with the swans. Especially grumpy Steve.

“We met the Queen’s gardeners, got to know their names and the names of all the flowers. They were thrilled at how much we appreciated, and praised, their artistry.”

However, after just a couple of years at Frogmore, Harry and Meghan stepped down as working royals, and have now purchased a home in Montecito, California.
