Meghan’s satisfaction following her retaliation against the Royal Family contrasts sharply with Harry’s turmoil post-betrayal

Meghan Markle has moved on from her time in the Royal Family as she sets her focus elsewhere, but Prince Harry is still “brooding over the past”, claims a royal expert.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as senior royals in 2020 and destroyed their relationship with The Firm when they made a number of bombshell claims about life behind the Palace walls.

The royal feud has worsened over the years, but royal author Tom Quinn believes Meghan is now over the drama.

Speaking to The Mirror exclusively, Quinn suggested: “Meghan appears to have moved on to some extent but then she was only part of the Royal Family for a relatively short time

and she has far more to focus on in the States than her husband has.”

Harry and Meghan moved to America after stepping down from the Royal Family and now live in Montecito, California. Quinn continued:

“She’s the main driver for their commercial enterprises in the States, where, having taken the dog for a walk each morning, Harry has a little to do beyond brooding over the past.”

The Duke of Sussex has taken small steps to try and fix his fractured relationship with the Royal Family. He travelled to the UK back in February to meet with King Charles after the monarch was diagnosed with cancer and the pair enjoyed a 30-minute conversation.

However, Harry and Charles failed to reunite when the Duke of Sussex travelled to London last month. Harry is also yet to reunite with his brother Prince William.

Quinn previously told The Mirror that Harry is devastated about his estrangement from William and wants better things for his children – Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Tom explained: “We know that Harry’s deepest upset concerns not just his lack of relationship with George, Charlotte and Louis, but also his own children’s lack of a relationship with their cousins.”

He continued: “Harry and Meghan would love to get round the problem – they would love it if the cousins could meet regularly and have a positive relationship as they grow up, but they cannot see a way to do it while they themselves, Harry and Meghan, are estranged. Harry has said that he hopes the cousins can at least be friends as adults.”
