Cardi B and her husband Offset returned home to Los Angeles with their daughter Kulture on a private jet on Tuesday afternoon following their Mexican getaway.
The WAP hitmaker, 28, dressed down in a baggy T-shirt and shorts by Vacancy Supply as she was joined by her fellow rapper, 29, and their two-year-old toddler, who slept on their assistant’s shoulder.
Later in the day, the musician took to Twitter to defend herself for celebrating her success in the music charts, after her new track Up debuted at number two on the Billboard Hot 100.
The former Love and Hip Hop star maintained a uncharacteristically casual appearance on her arrival, teaming her sweats with a baseball cap and a pair of Crocs.
Migos star Offset, meanwhile, styled a hooded humper with navy joggers, red boots and a classic backpack.
The New Yorker later took to her social media platform to stand by her decision to appreciate her impressive achievement publicly
After critics claimed she only climbs the charts when another artist features on her records.
Stripping down to a nude bra, the media personality said: ‘Nah nah nah, ya’ll gon let Cardi talk s**t for a day, ya heard? Why can’t I brag of the fruits of my labour?
‘We deserve to talk that s**t for one day because last Monday, people we’re saying on Twitter: ”You barely get likes, Cardi can’t go into the top 10 without big celebrities”, and I’m big hated on Twitter.
‘And now – look at that. Ya’ll always want to use that radio excuse… highest on digital sale, highest on streaming.’
The former reality star also revealed Up topped the Rolling Stone Top 100 charts as she added: ‘It’s also number one on Rolling Stone charts, and they don’t even include radio. Matter of fact, W.A.P didn’t do good on f***ing radio because it’s so explicit.
‘Ya’ll be looking for every excuse on a b***h. It’s time to talk that s**t, let me celebrate! Can’t a h*e celebrate?’
Expressing her delight, Cardi – real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar – captioned the video: ‘Wig lifting and all .Let us talk our s**t and brag for a day ,WE DESERVE It !
‘When it comes to Cardi it’s always something we work hard .We humble we deserve to get big c***y for at least a day .I’m sooo happy!!! I can’t wait for my next project !’ (sic)
The songwriter went on to thank her supportive fans in a series of tweets, while hitting back at trolls for claiming she’s ‘a flop’.
Cardi wrote: ‘Just landed and my wifi back poppin .I want to say thank you to all my fans and supporters this is BIG for me .I wanted to beat my last solo single number & I over succeeded.
‘First time a female rapper debut top 5 since Lauren [Lauryn Hill]. This is pop girl s**t but I’m not pop.’ (sic)
The outspoken star admitted the negative comments had affected her as she added: ‘At the beginning of last week I was crying because one single post put my confidence down.
‘She needs promo , she’s a flop, she needs help erasing the fact I been constantly winning.I had to brush it off remind myself I beat records wit my last record & now boom .Chart too high.
‘I want to thank my fans with the bottom & top of my heart .Ya remind of me .The http://underdogs.So underestimated but show the f**k out when it’s time .
‘I really can’t believe this .I told a couple of yall I don’t care about a number 1 a top 5 is a big win for me.’ (sic)
