Pat Perez’s wife, Ashley, expressed satisfaction witnessing Rory McIlroy being p.u.n.c.h.e.d in the face by a stranger: “If he doesn’t do it, sooner or later I will” (video)

Pat Perez’s wife, Ashley, confessed last year that she would relish seeing pro golfer Rory McIlroy get “punched in the face”.

The social media influencer is currently separating from her LIV Golf star husband, following reports that she filed for divorce in November. o

But Pat isn’t the only sportsman Ashley has had run-ins with recently after she expressed a desire to see someone hit McIlroy back in 2023.

Her harsh words came after Team Europe won the Ryder Cup against their American counterparts last September,

with the Northern Irishman leading the team alongside John Rahm, Viktor Hovland, and Tommy Fleetwood.

The competition wasn’t without its drama, however, as McIlroy was spotted yelling at caddie Joe LaCava in the parking lot – a sight that ignited Ashley’s fury,

which she vented on Instagram in a post criticizing the golfer’s behavior.

The 34 year old posted: “I can’t possibly be the only one that would absolutely love to watch Rory get punched in the face. And I mean that in the nicest possible way… kinda.”

Pat’s first marriage ended in divorce before he met Ashley at a dinner in Las Vegas. They tied the knot in 2014 and have two children together. While their divorce is still in progress, it seems that the couple will legally separate. This isn’t the only challenge Perez is facing this year, as he’s on the brink of being dropped from the LIV Golf league.

Perez first signed with the Saudi-backed league in 2022, reportedly inking a $10million (£7.9million) deal. Despite initial success, including winning the inaugural LIV team championship and the 4Aces, he currently sits in 47th place in the league standings.

With just four games remaining and flirting with relegation, Perez’s best performance this year was a T-14 finish in Nashville last week. He has upcoming games in Andalucia, the UK, Greenbrier, and Chicago, but with only 7.76 points overall, he needs to climb the rankings to secure his spot in the 2025 league.

Players ranked 49 and below will be cut from the series. Only Harold Varner III and Laurie Canter stand between Perez and relegation at the time of writing. Perez’s fate in the competition will be determined in the coming months.
