Piers Morgan is set to make a dramatic return to Good Morning Britain (GMB) nearly four years after his unforgettable storm-off from the ITV breakfast show. 

The outspoken broadcaster surprised fans with the announcement, marking his first appearance on the program since his controversial departure in 2021.

Morgan’s Surprise Announcement

Taking to social media, the 59-year-old journalist and TV personality made the revelation in his signature bold style. He posted:

“BREAKING: It’s been nearly 4yrs (1,453 days to be precise!) since I departed @GMB rather hastily… 

but tomorrow morning, for the first time, I’m going back. I’ll be on with @susannareid100 & @edballs at 8.15am.”

The announcement quickly ignited a frenzy among his followers, with mixed reactions flooding in. 

Some expressed excitement over his return, while others were skeptical about the move. One critic questioned, “Going back to do what? “I understand that you don’t like Meghan Markle, you’ve made it so clear a number of times on this programme, and I understand you’ve got a personal relationship with Meghan Markle and she cut you off. She’s entitled to cut you off if she wants to. Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I don’t think she has, but yet you continue to trash her.”

Beresford, visibly unimpressed, called his actions “pathetic” and “diabolical.” The fallout from the incident led to Morgan’s departure from GMB, with ITV confirming his exit shortly afterward.
