Prince Harry and Meghan’s car chase claims to be under investigation by the news agency, will the truth be revealed?

Celebrity news agency Backgrid USA will investigate Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s alleged car chase with paparazzi in New York.

The couple claims the chase lasted two and a half hours, involving multiple near misses.

The incident occurred as the couple left an event honoring Meghan’s work empowering women and girls.

It was Meghan’s first public appearance since King Charles’s coronation, and she attended with Harry and her mother.

The next day, Prince Harry’s spokesperson released a statement describing the car chase as “near catastrophic.”

The statement claimed the pursuit lasted over two hours and resulted in multiple near collisions.

New York Mayor Eric Adams responded, expressing skepticism about the two-hour high-speed chase claim. He noted that even a ten-minute chase would be extremely dangerous in New York City.

Mayor Adams emphasized the dangers of any high-speed chase in a city with heavy traffic and pedestrian movement. He committed to finding out the exact duration of the pursuit.

Sunny Singh, the driver who briefly transported the royals, downplayed the couple’s claims. He stated that the paparazzi kept their distance and did not engage in a high-speed pursuit.

Prince Harry’s security detail, however, maintained that the journey could have been fatal. They stressed the potential danger posed by the paparazzi’s pursuit.

Prince Harry has long been vocal about his disdain for press intrusion. He holds the paparazzi responsible for his mother, Princess Diana’s death in 1997.

Harry is involved in several legal cases in the UK, including one seeking increased public protection for his family. His experiences have intensified his stance against aggressive paparazzi behavior.

Paparazzi journalist Charles Harrison, not involved in the New York incident, shared his perspective. He expressed doubt about a two-hour high-speed chase in New York, citing the city’s notorious traffic.

Harrison acknowledged that paparazzi pursuit can be daunting but questioned the narrative of a high-speed chase. He suggested that such chases are less common now compared to the early 2000s.

He noted that while some paparazzi can be aggressive, many try to get their stories in a respectful manner. The more aggressive ones, he said, tarnish the reputation of others in the industry.

Harrison emphasized that there’s no reason for high-speed chases, even if celebrities are frequently pursued. He highlighted the complex relationship between celebrities and photojournalists.

The incident has sparked global headlines and discussions about paparazzi behavior and celebrity safety. It highlights the ongoing tension between public figures and the media.

Backgrid USA’s investigation will aim to clarify the details of the alleged car chase. The agency’s findings could have implications for paparazzi conduct and celebrity security measures.

The royal couple’s statement and the ensuing media coverage underscore the challenges of managing public life. It also raises questions about the responsibilities of both the press and the celebrities they cover.

As the investigation unfolds, it will be crucial to balance the rights of the press with the safety of public figures. The outcome may influence future interactions between celebrities and photojournalists.

Ultimately, the incident serves as a reminder of the ongoing scrutiny faced by high-profile individuals. It also highlights the need for respectful and responsible media practices.
