Revealing the next episode of ‘American Idol’: A contestant unexpectedly saved, becomes season’s champion! (video)

“American Idol” 2024 is down to three contestants competing for the Season 22 trophy after two contestants were eliminated during Sunday night’s Disney-themed episode.

Disney Night saw the Top 5 contestants take a trip to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida with their moms, and country singer Kane Brown mentored them.

Abi Carter, Emmy Russell, Jack Blocker, Triston Harper and Will Moseley performed two songs from Disney, Pixar and Marvel. 

Judge Katy Perry pulled out all the stops, donning a full Cinderella costume.

Things are getting serious with the Idol finale and Perry’s final show as a judge only a week away. Here’s which contestants are in the Top 3 of “American Idol” 2024.

The judges on Season 22 of “American Idol” are Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.

Triston Harper and Emmy Russell were sent home during the Disney Night episode of “American Idol” 2024.

Harper sang “Almost There” from “The Princess and the Frog” and “Life Is a Highway” from “Cars” while Russell went with “The Climb” from “Hannah Montana: The Movie” and “Carried Me with You” from “Onward.”

Abi Carter, Jack Blocker and Will Moseley are the only three contestants left in “American Idol” 2024.

The three-hour finale of “American Idol” 2024 will be on Sunday, May 19, with the Top 3 being mentored by Jon Bon Jovi.

“American Idol” will not be on Monday, May 13. The Season 22 finale will air on Sunday, May 19.

You can watch “American Idol” Season 22 live on Sunday, May 19, at 5 p.m. Arizona time on ABC 15. You can also stream the show with a subscription on FuboTV or Hulu starting at 3 a.m. Monday, May 20.

Past episodes are available on Hulu if you want to catch up. A subscription to Hulu costs $7.99 a month for the ad-supported plan. Students can get Hulu with ads for $1.99 a month and Hulu with no ads costs $17.99 a month.

The winner of “American Idol” receives $125,000 and a recording contract with Hollywood Records/19 Recordings. They get an additional $125,000 after they complete an entire album, for a total earning of $250,000, according to Newsweek.
