The second trailer for the upcoming sci-fi thriller Battleship has been unveiled.
The new promo shows off more of Rihanna’s role in the film, after the popstar only featured briefly in the first trailer.
Loosely based on the game of the same name, Battleship tells the story of an armada of ships at war with an alien race called ‘The Regents’.
Battleship is Rihanna’s first acting role, in which she plays a weapons specialist on one of the ships.
Taylor Kitsch, Liam Neeson, Alexander Skarsgard, Josh Pence and Brooklyn Decker also star in the movie.
Skarsgard has previously revealed that he was impressed by Rihanna’s diligence.
“This is her first movie but she’s great, she’s really, really good in it,” he shared. “And her working… She’s got a crazy schedule. She’s really diligent and I’m impressed.”
Battleship will hit UK theatres on April 20, 2012 and May 18, 2012 in the US.
