Rihanna is happy to have A$AP Rocky by her side.

As the power couple have stepped out to various public events together throughout this year, 

sources tell PEOPLE the musicians are enjoying life as romantic partners and parents to sons RZA, 2 this month, and Riot, 9 months.

“They have always had a solid friendship and the romance just enhanced that,” a music management source says of Rihanna, 

36, and Rocky, 35, noting that “family comes first” for the pair.

Another source explains to PEOPLE that the “Love on the Brain” singer “is all about motherhood” and “loves” parenting their children.

“She brings the kids on every trip, including work trips. The kids come with her everywhere. She never complains that she’s tired,” says the insider. “She seems to just love life.”

“She and Rakim [Mayers, Rocky’s full name] are doing great,” the source adds of Rihanna, noting that the rapper is “such a fun dad” to RZA and Riot.

“They’re doing a great job raising their kids. He’s very supportive of Rihanna too,” says the insider, as the pair has long accompanied one another to many of each other’s work-related events.

“They’re both extremely driven and hard-working. He’s the same way — you’ll never hear him complain,” continues the source. “They’re amazing together. Rihanna truly seems the happiest.”

The Fenty Beauty founder and the “LSD” rapper first met while collaborating on a remix of Rihanna’s 2012 single “Cockiness (Love It),” which they performed together on the MTV Video Music Awards.

They costarred in Rocky’s 2013 “Fashion Killa” music video and formed a strong connection long before officially entering a romantic relationship in 2019. The following year, the pair confirmed to the public that they were an item.

“Rihanna and Rocky were on the right road long before the children were born, and they are balancing the work of taking care of two toddlers very well,” a music source tells PEOPLE.

“They spend as much time with their kids as possible and truly enjoy being parents,” details the insider. “They are very happy in this phase of their relationship.”

Both musicians have slowed down their respective musical outputs as they’ve grown into their relationship and become parents; Rocky’s last full length album dropped in 2018, while Rihanna’s was released in 2016.

“Both parents do everything they can to spend as much time with the boys as possible. It is pure joy for them,” says the source.

Even Rihanna’s most recent comments regarding new music involved their sons. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight last month, she seemed to tease “hits” that could feature one or both of her sons — and potentially Rocky as well.

“She’s settled into motherhood so well,” adds the source of Rihanna. “She is more carefree and relishes the time spent with them.”
