Rihanna recently left partner ASAP Rocky stunned as she rapped to GloRilla’s new single, TGIF. 

On Friday, June 28, 2024, the singer shared a video on her socials showing her rapping and dancing to the song, prompting Rocky to comment:

“Where my drink at? I’m too old for this sh*t.”

GloRilla, real name Gloria Hallelujah Woods, dropped TGIF this month, followed by a music video for the single. 

Boasting 2.4 million views on YouTube just four days after its release, the track has since gone viral, with many calling it a summer banger.

As RiRi’s video went viral, internet users were quick to react. Many commented on ASAP Rocky’s hilarious reaction, with one saying:

“Bro perplexed”

Rocky’s straight-faced reaction won over netizens. A few fans gushed on X, tweeting:

“Asap looking like “excuse me,”” added @TheKaylee_.”this bro doesn’t know what’s going on,” commented Kita Reign.”His reaction RiRi congratulations in advance. We are planning the baby shower already!!” added another.

Some praised the couple and their chemistry. One even stated that only ASAP Rocky can match the Umberella singer’s vibe.

Last year, GloRilla took to her X (@GloTheofficial) and reposted a comment about a photo featuring Rihanna and Lil Kim, joking it was GloRilla and Kim. She wrote:

“Been told y’all dats my twin.”

This was not the only time Woods alluded to their similar-looking appearances. Back in February 2023, during the 65th annual Grammy Awards, she told ESSENCE that many, especially “older people,” had told her she looked like the Barbadian singer.

In March 2023, GloRilla shared an audio clip of a voicemail sent by her grandmother to her mother, noting the striking similarities between the two singers.

“How come you didn’t tell me Rihanna and Gloria look so much alike?” Wood’s grandmother began. She continued, “I can’t tell them girls apart on TV. That girl look just like your daughter.”

Rihanna, for her part, never addressed their similar appearances. However, the Barbadian, who recently became the first female artist to have most singles certified diamonds, told Extra on April 2024 that she was working on a new project. She explained it was going to be amazing, stating:

“It has to be — that is the only reason it’s not out yet. If I’m not feeling it and I’m not feeling like it represents the evolution, the time I spent away… There should be a show of growth, right?”

Rihanna’s last studio album, Anti, was released in January 2016, making it over eight years since she dropped a new project.
