But Rihanna displayed her fun sense of style as she stepped out at Paris Fashion Week on Monday morning, rocking a pair of quirky circular glasses.
Proving she has plenty of specs appeal, the 27-year-old pop princess livened up her somewhat muted choice of outfit with the unusual accessory as she left the French capital’s Shangri-La hotel
Ensuring she stayed warm in the chilly winter weather, the Rude Boy hitmaker wrapped up in a layered double denim look, teaming a cream and black shearling-lined coat with an indigo-coloured jacket.
The Bajan beauty kept the rest of her look casual with a monochrome slogan tee and kept her incredible figure covered up by a pair of baggy boyfriend jeans with dramatic rips in the knees.
Injecting a touch of glamour to her casual daytime ensemble, Rihanna teetered on a pair of strappy sandals and added a bolt of colour with a slick of pillar-box red lipstick.
The singer completed her Parisian ensemble by wearing her raven locks tumbling in loose waves down her back, and accessorised with a pair of blinging oversized diamond earrings.
As she left the venue she was, perhaps unsurprisingly, mobbed by a group of fans.
Guided through the crowd by security, she was obviously focused on getting to her vehicle without any unnecessary delay – or outfit trouble.
Holding her designer glasses in place, she navigated the keen onlookers with determination.
As she progressed through the sea of people, they each documented their sighting of the chart-topper with their cameras and phones.
Undeterred, the S&M singer took the attention in her stride.
Clearly accustomed to such intense levels of attention, she even flashed a smile before jumping in her car and being driven away.
Rihanna’s casual outfit – and mobbing – comes after she donned a hilarious Batman-inspired mask as she attended a star-studded bash in the City of Lights on Saturday evening.
The singer, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, arrived at Jeremy Scott’s Moschino party, making yet another sartorial statement – although it’s surprising she didn’t choose the same mask as her namesake, Batman’s sidekick Robin.
Scott is known for his cartoon, pop art influences and no doubt the 27-year-old’s choice of head-wear was in the spirit of the tongue in cheek designer.
Rihanna’s choice to conceal her head went hand in hand with an outfit choice that was a touch more covered up than usual.
Without a hint of sheer fabric in sight, Rihanna gave another nod to her designer pal by wearing a white racer vest crop top, with a clear Calvin Klein-style branded elastic band.
She teamed the casual top with equally laid back boyfriend style jeans with rips on the knees.
Beyond the mask, the loudest part of Rihanna’s outfit was her yellow coat, in a bright canary shade, the fluffy faux fur looked like it may have been too warm with RiRi keeping it slung low off her shoulders.
