Roland Garros avenged the score of the match, defeating Ons Jabeur. The next opponent is… ‘ex-rival’ Iga Swiatek

Coco Gauff has now advanced through five rounds at Roland Garros after beating Ons Jabeur on Tuesday.

She dropped the first set 4-6, her first lost set all tournament, but recovered to win the remaining two 6-2 and 6-3.

The No. 3 seed’s next match comes Thursday against top seed Iga Swiatek, an opponent she’s very familiar with.

Swiatek has knocked Gauff out of her last two French Open appearances (2023 quarterfinals, 2022 final). The 20-year-old will be looking to improve her 1-10 record against the World No. 1 with an upset.

Gauff will square off with Jabeur Thursday at 3 p.m. local time, which is 9 a.m. ET and 6 a.m. PT in North America. A win means she’ll return to the final, marking her third career appearance in a grand slam final.
