SHOCK: The royal family releases a video of Prince Harry “scolding” Meghan Markle during Trooping the Colour, declaring, “NO ONE is allowed to disgrace the royal family!” (video)

During Trooping the Colour 2019, Meghan Markle was observed having a brief

and seemingly tense exchange with Prince Harry on the Buckingham Palace balcony while celebration events took place for the late Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday.

It appears that Prince Harry was reminding his wife of the upcoming anthem to ensure she was prepared and facing the right direction by telling her to “turn around” twice,

when she tried to turn her back on the crowds below. For Harry, maintaining protocol and smooth public appearances were taught from a young age.

The video gained huge traction on social media and has recently resurfaced as the Royal Family prepares

for Trooping the Colour 2024 to mark King Charles’s official birthday on Saturday, June 15.

Footage shows the Sussexes are on the balcony during Trooping the Colour 2019 and Meghan Markle could be seen turning around to chat with her husband,  just before the National Anthem was played.

As the National Anthem began playing Harry could be seen telling Meghan to “turn around” when she tried to engage with her husband and initiate a conversation.

The Duchess appeared to look quite upset when this interaction happened but much has been read into the interaction over the years, with some saying Harry was merely trying to look out for his wife, who may have been unaccustomed to the protocol.

Judi James, a professional body language expert, spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk at the time to explain how Meghan may have been feeling at this moment.

She said: “It’s easy to forget how much pressure Meghan might have felt herself to be under, coming from the US which has no Royal Family, and immersing herself in both her husband’s family and the more formal side of his lifestyle.

“So events like the Trooping of the Colour might have even come as a bit of a shock to a woman who claims to have initially had little knowledge of skills like the curtsey.”

Judi added: “Her [Meghan Markle’s] blink rate does seem to have speeded though, which is a gesture that can hint at either some upset or irritation.”

The Duchess of Sussex’s second appearance at Trooping the Colour was her first public appearance since the birth of her son Archie, attending the late Queen’s birthday parade alongside the rest of the Royal Family.

As they are no longer working royals, Meghan and Harry will not be attending Trooping the Colour this year. The King’s Birthday Parade, scheduled for Saturday, June 15, will kick off at 10:20am.

Charles’s actual birthday is on November 14, but it is tradition for the reigning monarch to have an unofficial birthday in June, so the entire nation can join in the celebration.

One royal commentator, Kinsey Schofield, believes the couple might decide to choose the day to hit headlines so they are not sidelined. Ms Schofield, To Di For Daily host, said: “I would not be surprised if we saw American Rivera Orchard launch a product around Trooping the Colour.”

Meghan first launched her lifestyle brand on March 14, but there has since been a lull in brand activity. She then resurfaced at the end of April, giving out handmade jams to 50 friends and influencers to share via social media.

 Understanding Deductibles in Insurance

What is a Deductible?

A deductible is the amount of money a policyholder must pay out-of-pocket before an insurance company begins to cover the remaining costs. Deductibles are a fundamental component of most insurance policies, including health, auto, home, and business insurance.

How Do Deductibles Work?

When you file a claim, you are responsible for paying the deductible amount. Only after this amount is paid will the insurance company pay for the covered expenses exceeding the deductible. For example, if you have a $1,000 deductible on your car insurance and incur $3,000 in damages from an accident, you would pay the first $1,000, and the insurance company would cover the remaining $2,000.

Types of Deductibles

  1. Fixed Dollar Deductible: This is a specific amount you must pay each time you file a claim. It’s common in health and auto insurance policies.
  2. Percentage Deductible: In some cases, particularly with homeowners insurance, the deductible might be a percentage of the insured value. For instance, if your home is insured for $200,000 and you have a 2% deductible, your out-of-pocket cost would be $4,000 before insurance covers the rest.
  3. Per-Claim vs. Annual Deductible:
    • Per-Claim Deductible: You pay the deductible every time you file a claim.
    • Annual Deductible: Common in health insurance, this deductible resets each year. You pay out-of-pocket until your total expenses reach the deductible amount for the year.

Why Do Deductibles Exist?

  1. Cost Control: Deductibles help keep insurance premiums more affordable. Higher deductibles typically result in lower premiums because the policyholder assumes more initial risk.
  2. Reduced Claims Frequency: Deductibles discourage policyholders from filing small or frivolous claims, reducing the number of claims an insurer must process and pay out.
  3. Shared Responsibility: Deductibles ensure that policyholders share in the financial responsibility of their care or damages, promoting cautious behavior and maintenance of insured assets.

Choosing the Right Deductible

When selecting an insurance policy, choosing the right deductible is crucial. Here are some considerations:

  1. Financial Ability: Assess your ability to pay the deductible in case of a claim. A higher deductible can lower your premium but may be challenging to pay if an incident occurs.
  2. Risk Tolerance: Determine how much risk you are comfortable assuming. If you prefer lower out-of-pocket costs during an emergency, a lower deductible might be preferable, albeit with a higher premium.
  3. Frequency of Claims: Consider how often you might need to file a claim. If you anticipate frequent claims, a lower deductible might be more cost-effective over time.

Impact on Premiums

The relationship between deductibles and premiums is inverse. Generally, the higher the deductible, the lower the premium, and vice versa. This trade-off allows policyholders to customize their insurance based on their financial situation and risk appetite.

Conclusion

Deductibles are a key feature of insurance policies that influence both the cost of premiums and the financial burden on policyholders when filing claims. Understanding how deductibles work and carefully selecting an appropriate deductible can help balance cost savings with financial protection, ensuring optimal insurance coverage tailored to individual needs and circumstances.
