Contrary to what you may be reading on blogs or following on social network platforms, Michelle Williams and her former bandmate Beyoncé Knowles have a great relationship.

Speculation arose about conflicts between the two earlier this year after Williams allegedly made a comment about Beyoncé’s new self-titled album, stating, “That’s private girl.” 

Williams cleared up the statement insisting, “What I meant was I would never say that,” in relation to the set’s content, but that didn’t stop gossipers from going on the attack.

Nonetheless, Williams recently linked with Beyoncé to record the song “Superpower,” and she tells Time that they are “amazing friends.”

“…to round it all out, we still support each other. We’re still amazing friends. Whether it’s to support each other musically, or just personally, when we happen to be in the same city…”

Williams chalked up people’s fascination over the twos friendship by adding: “Well, generally speaking, fighting is more interesting than friendship.”
