Anne Hathaway revealed her decision to quit drinking during an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show; explained at the time, she said it was because she wanted to appear sober to her young son.
In a new interview with The New York Times, The Dark Knight Rises star reflected on his health and his 40s.
“There are a lot of other things that I identify as milestones. I don’t usually talk about that, but I’ve been sober for over five years now. To me, that feels like a milestone. Age 40 is like a gift.
The fact of the matter is I hesitate when someone says I’ve reached ‘middle age’ I don’t know if this is middle age or not,” she told The New York Times in a recent interview.
The actress also revealed that she is likely to participate in season 3 of The Princess Diaries. However, Anne Hathaway confirmed that this third part was not her top choice because that series was in her past.

She plays Solène, a divorced mother who ends up falling in love with a much younger famous man played by Nicholas Galitzine. The film is directed by Michael Showalter, adapted from the romance novel of the same name by Robinne Lee.
