This Morning viewers were left concerned after Josie Gibson appeared on the show using crutches, revealing that she had suffered a painful injury while on holiday.

The popular ITV presenter joined Alison Hammond for the Friday (February 28) edition of the show but had difficulty moving around due to her injury.
Josie Gibson’s Holiday Disaster in Dubai
At the start of the programme, Alison initially appeared solo before Josie made her entrance, visibly struggling with her crutches.

She then opened up about the unfortunate accident that led to her injury while on a getaway in Dubai with her six-year-old son, Reggie, during the half-term break.

Explaining what had happened, Josie recounted how she had been brushing her teeth in the bathroom when a vanity unit suddenly collapsed onto her foot.

The painful mishap resulted in her needing immediate medical attention while still abroad. Initially, doctors suspected she had fractured her leg, but after returning to the UK, the injury was re-evaluated, and it was confirmed to be soft tissue damage.
“You could not even make it up. I’ve had a holiday disaster. I’ve always wanted to take my little one to Dubai. We went for half term. Second day of the holiday, I was brushing my teeth when the vanity unit came down on my foot,” Josie explained.
A Ruined Holiday and a Difficult Recovery
The unexpected injury turned what was meant to be a dream holiday into a nightmare. Josie shared how the accident completely disrupted her trip, leaving her confined to bed with her leg elevated and forcing her to rely on a wheelchair for mobility.

“I spent the whole holiday in bed with my leg in the air. Totally ruined my holiday,” she lamented. “And in a wheelchair. I was with my six-year-old, can you imagine? I couldn’t even build a sandcastle with him!”
The ordeal left her frustrated, as it meant she was unable to fully enjoy the experience with her young son. However, she maintained her usual upbeat attitude despite the setback, expressing her gratitude that the injury was not more severe.
Fans React with Concern and Support
After seeing Josie struggle on crutches while presenting the show, viewers quickly took to social media to express their concern and sympathy. Messages of support poured in, with fans posting comments such as “Poor Josie,” and “I hope she’s okay.” One viewer even suggested legal action, writing, “Poor Josie, I hope she sues.”

Despite the discomfort, Josie remained cheerful throughout the broadcast, determined to carry on with her hosting duties.
