Tiger Woods has a new woman on her bag for the weekend
Well, if you have wondered why Tiger Woods never partnered up with his oldest daughter, Sam Woods, for the PNC Championship, then your wishes have just been answered.
The oldest child of 82-time PGA Tour winner Sam Woods will be caddying for the golfer this weekend, as reported by Claire Roger on X.
The 16-year-old last caddied for him at the 2015 Masters. The Woods family accompanied Woods on the occasion of the Par-3 Family Contest. The then 8-year-old, Sam, and 6-year-old, Charlie Woods, were seen holding their father’s clubs as caddies and trailing behind him. Though Woods did not win the major that year, it sure was a first experience for Woods’s children as their father’s caddies.
Since her childhood, Sam Woods has been an avid supporter of her father. She has never played golf at the PNC Championship with Woods till now, making this appearance a sort of debut for her. The daughter has replaced Woods’s long-time friend, Rob McNamara, for the 26th PNC Championship. McNamara caddied for Woods for the Hero World Challenge.
Sam Woods mostly stayed out of the golf course and supported her father from inside the ropes. This incident also makes Sam Alexis the first of Woods’s children to caddy for him, as Charlie has never officially caddied for his father.
During the Pro-AM rounds, Rob McNamara was on Woods’s bag, but with this latest update, it seems that he wanted to celebrate the family event better and make it more memorable. With his daughter as his caddy and his son as his playing partner, the PNC championship has undoubtedly become a family affair for the Woods family!
