Barbro Holmberg, mother-in-law to embattled golfer Tiger Woods, was released from a hospital on Tuesday afternoon and is now recuperating at Woods’s home in Windermere, Florida.
According to Health Central Hospital spokesman Dan Yates, Holmberg, 57, left the facility around 2PM in a wheelchair,
which is standard procedure in most hospitals. He said she was back at Woods’s home.
Holmberg, a politician in Sweden, was taken to the Ocoee, Florida, hospital
after a 911 call at 2.35AM on Tuesday, and was admitted after complaining of stomach pain.
Around midday, her daughter and Tiger’s wife, Elin Nordegren, arrived at the hospital with a bag.
Holmberg, who has three children with her former husband, Swedish journalist Thomas Nordegren, is a member of the Social Democratic party and served as minister of migration and asylum from 2003 to 2006.
