Tiger Woods wishes the accident that year had never happened, so he wouldn’t have lost his throne or been abandoned by his girlfriend for becoming a loser (video)

Former world number one Tiger Woods is not confident about his form

as he prepares to compete in the 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla in Kentucky from May 16 to 19.

“My health is fine, but my form is not. I wish I was as sharp on the course as before.

This is because I don’t practice much, I only practice at home and only have a few field sessions before the tournament,”

Woods analyzed his current professional status when speaking to the media ahead of the 2024 PGA Championship on May 14.

That’s why he was at Valhalla two days earlier to try out the course.

The tournament, hosted by the Professional Golfers Association of America (PGA of America), is taking place at Valhalla for the fourth time.

The previous three were in 1996, 2000 and 2014, in which Woods won the mid-term championship and was eliminated in the latter due to an unrecovered back injury. Problems with this part have caused Woods to have to undergo surgery five times in his career. In addition, the former world number one has had five surgeries on his left knee, which was damaged by a professional.

Since the near-fatal traffic accident in February 2021, Woods has been very weak, especially in his legs, and has limited his playing time. After that incident, “Super Tiger” only participated in two tournaments he chaired on the PGA Tour schedule and the four majors. In the prestigious group over the past three years, Woods has been eliminated or recorded poor results, especially at the bottom of the Masters last month.

Meeting the press ahead of the 2024 PGA Championship, Woods appeared with a goatee and said it was because he was lazy to shave. He was also asked about the possibility of taking on the role of captain of the US team at the Ryder Cup in September 2025. However, Woods said he would decline the role. “We are still discussing that task. But I will be busy with a lot of things in the near future, especially on the PGA Tour. And so, I don’t want to take on the captaincy without enough time to dedicate to the task,” he said.

Woods currently serves on the PGA Tour Policy Board and is also vice president of the PGA Tour Enterprises business unit. This enterprise was established with the main mission of attracting and deploying capital as well as doing business for the PGA Tour while helping the parent organization maintain a non-profit legal entity, thereby being exempt from taxes.

PGA Tour Enterprises has so far received $3 billion in investment from the Strategic Sports Group, a group of billionaires and corporations in the US sports and entertainment industry, and is expected to receive additional funding from the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), owner of the LIV Golf League. Recently, the PGA Tour established a subcommittee to negotiate with the Saudi PIF, which also includes Woods.
