A clip of Tiger Woods has emerged with the golfing legend spending some time at a poker event in Las Vegas this past weekend.
The 48-year-old appeared to be slurring his words in the video uploaded from the Tiger Jam poker charity event, just days before the US Open beginning in which he hopes to compete in.
American professional poker player Phil Hellmuth ran into Woods at the event, uploading the clip in question of the two talking among others looking to speak to the golfing legend.
In the video, Woods discussed the benefits of the charity event and the work the foundation has achieved, with many fans quickly reacting to the golfer’s demeanor.
One said: “Tiger looks out of it here,” while another wrote: “No one wants to see him like this. It sucks.” A third had tweeted:
“Can we be real for a second here? Is there nobody close enough to him in his camp that can step in and get him some real help? Somebody in his family? Anyone?'”
Woods is less than two weeks away from hoping to make another appearance at a golfing major, preparing for the US Open at Pinehurst No. 2 in North Carolina on June 13.
Having played in just three PGA Tour events since having reconstructive ankle surgery after the 2023 Masters, Woods has struggled with injuries throughout his recent career – especially ever since his high-speed car accident in 2021.
Woods did play in The Masters in Augusta this year, making the cut before struggling going into the weekend and finishing in 60th place at 16-over-par.
He had needed a special exemption from the US Open to play in this year’s event, failing to qualify for the first year of his illustrious career.
The 15-time majors winner has taken time off after his performance at The Masters said to be in preparation for the US Open.
In a recent interview, he said: “My body’s okay. It is what it is. I wish my game was a little bit sharper. Again, I don’t have a lot of competitive reps, so I am having to rely on my practice sessions and getting stuff done either at home or here on-site.”
