Unforgettable: Reba McEntire’s Opening Number on ‘The Voice’ That Wowed Fans (video)

he country music star, who debuted on the reality competition series on Season 24, stood solo on the stage’s platform as the lights turned up.

Reba, 69, was joined by fellow musicians who played the song’s smoky opening chords as the desert-theme set lit up around her.

The singer was surrounded by cacti and desert rock as well as a moving sky projection in the background.

Reba stunned in a black Western jacket with fringe, paired with black pants and a large buckle belt.

She had her signature red hair in soft curls, pulled into an updo with face-framing pieces left out.

Later on in the performance, rain was seen falling in the projections behind Reba as fire and smoke also blew behind her.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, The Voice fans went crazy over her opening number for the show’s lives.

“This is insane. Incredible performance,” one person said.

“Now that’s why she is the Queen. Blew me away. Listening to it on repeat,” a second wrote.

“Welllll…I told y’all #ICant is EVER. Y. THING,” a third tweeted.

“Was amazing!! The outfit! The atmosphere! Just a total blessing!!!” said a fourth.

“Reba knows she can knock it outta the park every time!!! I love her new song!” another exclaimed.

“#iCant pick my jaw up from the floor,” someone else joked.

Prior to her performance, Reba shared an Instagram post to announce the release of her brand-new single on Monday.

“#ICant wait to perform my new song on @nbcthevoice tomorrow night! You can pre-save it now on your favorite streaming service,” she wrote in the caption.

She also shared a photo of the song’s cover art, which showed an up-close glamour shot of the former sitcom star.

Tuesday’s live episode revealed this season’s Top 9 competitors.

L. Rodgers was eliminated from Team Reba, leaving the country artist with Josh Sanders and Asher HaVon left on her team.

Nadège from Team Chance and Zoe Levert from Team Legend were also eliminated after performing for America’s Instant Save.

Tae Lewis from Team Dan + Shay was awarded the save.

The Voice will return next Monday on NBC, where the semi-finalists will get one step closer to potentially being crowned the Season 25 champ.

Aside from her second season as a coach on The Voice, Reba also has some other exciting career moves in the works.

The celeb recently opened up about her return to the world of scripted television after previously starring in her self-titled TV series, Reba.

Reba ran on the WB from 2001 to 2007.

She recently told Entertainment Tonight that some of Reba’s cast, including Melissa Peterman, 52, were going to be involved in her forthcoming show.

The NBC sitcom’s pilot, titled Happy’s Place, will feature her as a tavern owner named Bobbie.

“My dad was the owner, and I’ve been running it for the last ten years, and my dad dies,” she told ET of her new starring role.

“So I find out some information at the reading of his will that I’m not too happy with, so…”

The news is that Bobbie’s half-sister, portrayed by Belissa Escobedo, is revealed to be joining her as business as a partner.

Melissa, who played the iconic role of Barbra Jean on Reba, is set to play Gabby – a bartender who wishes she could be Bobbie’s sister.

Executive producers Kevin Abbott, Michael Hanel, and Mindy Schultheis, who all worked on Reba, will be behind the new project.

“It’s the same showrunner, same writers, and same producers as [Reba]. So it’s gonna be that heartfelt, fun, funny, laugh at our silliness, but also be touched by the heart in the show,” Reba explained.
