Beyoncé issued “a cry for help” after being left stranded onstage during her Renaissance world tour, according to a body language expert.

The 41-year-old singer had been sitting on top of a glittering silver horse during her show in Amsterdam, but was left stuck on the statue for a lot longer than planned.

The blunder happened after her production team missed their cue to help her down.

The incident was caught on camera, with many fans suggesting the Single Ladies hitmaker seemed angry and disgusted at the mistake.

However, body language expert Judi James has suggested the star would have actually been feeling quite “vulnerable”.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, she said: “Clearly something seems to have gone wrong that leaves Beyoncé stranded up on her glitterball horse.

Signalling furiously to her team and even, at one point, having to push the metal staircase away herself mid-song.

“Beyoncé is genuine pop royalty and like all royals she puts a lot of effort and talent into making perfect look easy.

“Posing up on that horse at the end of the show must have left her stranded and vulnerable, with a huge risk that, if her crew didn’t get her wheeled off the stage, she would have been stuck up there doing encores until the fans finally left the auditorium and headed for home.”

The body language expert added: “Like Madonna picking herself up and carrying on after falling back down the steps during her stage act, Beyoncé tries to be a real trooper here, managing to signal to the crew while still belting out some Donna Summer top notes in her usual pitch-perfect way.”

As the stage crew pushed a giant staircase toward Beyoncé, she seemed to urgently signal to try and get their attention, before leaning to push the stairs away herself mid-performance.

At one point, she even seemed to say “Oh my God” at the workers.

PR expert Matt Yanofsky told us Beyoncé needs to be careful about how she’s seen treating her staff.

“Beyoncé’s superstar status insulates her today, but she needs to stop the leaks.”

The Moment Lab founder added: “In this day and age of workers’ strikes and populist political movements, she needs to be very careful of appearing like she’s mean to her staff.”

However, Judi said: “When a crew member’s head appears with what looks like an offered hand, Beyoncé seems to motion him away.

“Her facial expression does look angry at one point but only when she is doing the rap section of the song, so it might just be the look to go with the genre.”

Beyoncé was eventually pulled off the horse backward as she was covered by a veil of glitter streamers.
