Who is the LiverPool legend that Beckham especially cares about and loves, despite being criticized by his MU teammates? (video)

The 49-year-old Manchester United legend had a prolific playing career at Old Trafford after breaking into the first team under Sir Alex Ferguson.

David Beckham, who is one of the famed ‘Class of ‘92’ members, made 394 appearances for the Red Devils and scored 85 times and registered 120 assists.

The former United star shot to superstardom during his time under iconic former Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson, who was seen as a father figure for Beckham.

During his illustrious spell at Old Trafford, United legend Beckham lifted six Premier League titles, two FA Cups and a Champions League.

The Inter Miami co-owner and president was also a key player for Ferguson during the Premier League club’s famous treble win in the 1998-99 season.

David Beckham was all too familiar with the legendary rivalry between Manchester United and Liverpool during his time as a player at Old Trafford.

However, the former England captain felt it was the right time to pay tribute to ex-Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp after his departure from Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp, who confirmed he would step down as Liverpool boss in the summer, has been widely hailed for his transformative impact at Anfield.

The 56-year-old German lifted a Premier League title, a Champions League, an FA Cup and two League Cups during his time at Liverpool.

Speaking on the SmartLess podcast, Beckham hilariously admitted that “some of my Man United friends” would not be happy with his praise for the Liverpool legend.

“Even as a Man United fan, I love Jurgen. I love his character, his personality and what he brings to the sport,” he said.

Beckham added: “I am going to get killed by some of my Man United friends.

“I am sad to see him leave. What he has done for the club and the sport has been incredible.”

Dutch manager Arne Slot confirmed that he would be leaving Feyenoord and succeeding Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool boss for the 2024-25 campaign.

“I can confirm that I will become the trainer there [Liverpool] next year,” he said this month.

“Until now, I was not thinking about this being the build-up to my last match, but that starts coming now.

“At the beginning of the week, you are thinking about training and those kind of things.”

Klopp has since become a free agent and the former Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool boss has not hinted at his next destination in football.

Beckham was asked if he would consider bringing Klopp to the States, with the Inter Miami president hilariously ruling out the idea.

“We’ve not got much money left,” he said.
