Anyone in a committed relationship knows that snooping through your partner’s phone is generally a bad idea.

However, when it comes to Mark Consuelos’ photographic skills—or lack thereof—Kelly Ripa couldn’t resist.
On the January 6 episode of *LIVE with Kelly and Mark*, the actress and talk show host hilariously roasted her husband, Mark,
over a rather underwhelming photo he took of her during their family vacation.

As the couple shared laughs with the studio audience, Ripa took the opportunity to poke fun at her husband’s lack of picture-taking prowess.

It all started when *LIVE’s* executive producer, Michael Gelman, asked Ripa if she had any vacation photos to share from her recent trip with Consuelos and their three children: Michael, 27, Lola, 23, and Joaquin, 21.

“I go, ‘Yeah, I took my usual 2,000–3,000 vacation photos of my family,'” Ripa explained to the audience. She added that when Gelman pressed her for any notable photos to share, she humorously replied, “No, but go get Mark’s phone because as I recall, about six days ago, Mark took a photo of me and I would like to see it.”
For those who know Ripa, this moment was not entirely surprising. She admitted that it’s quite rare for her husband to snap a picture of her, making the elusive photo even more of a curiosity. “When I pass away, not to be macabre, the only photos that prove that I existed are paparazzi photos,” she joked, adding a bit of dark humor to the situation.
Ripa, always the comedian, didn’t stop there. After retrieving her husband’s phone, she scrolled through the images with a bit of a dramatic flair. “So I got your phone this morning and I scrolled, scrolled, scrolled…” she said, teasing Consuelos as he chuckled nervously. “I always love when you take my phone,” he responded, clearly well-versed in his wife’s playful antics.

Then came the big moment: Ripa asked the audience if they wanted to see the mysterious photo that had captivated her attention. But before revealing the image, she offered some background context for the audience. “Now, I want to point out, for two weeks, I did not wash my hair, I did not wear makeup,” Ripa explained. She continued, “But on New Year’s Eve, it was a costume party, there was dress-up, and I got all done up and I looked pretty for me. Like, I looked nice. I put on makeup, I put on lipstick.”
Despite her efforts to look her best, Ripa was quick to admit that there was no photographic evidence of her glammed-up New Year’s Eve look. “There’s no photographic evidence or I would share it with you!” she quipped. But of course, Mark had snapped a photo of her at some point during their vacation, and Ripa was determined to share it.
The photo that Consuelos had taken, however, did not exactly capture the glamour Ripa had hoped for. Instead, the image depicted a breathtaking sunset with a backlit Ripa, slightly squatting in front of a pair of sneakers. “That’s a beautiful sunset,” Consuelos commented nonchalantly, seemingly unfazed by his wife’s playful jabs.

Unimpressed by the photo, Ripa couldn’t resist making another hilarious remark. “You know when they show Bigfoot? That’s like Littlefoot. We found Bigfoot’s offspring, Littlefoot,” she teased, drawing laughter from the audience. Ripa’s witty quip encapsulated the playful dynamic between the couple, who have been together for nearly three decades.
Ripa and Consuelos’ relationship dates back to 1995, when they met while screen-testing for *All My Children*. Cast as on-screen love interests, the chemistry between the two quickly blossomed into a real-life romance. The couple married a year later in a spontaneous Las Vegas ceremony. Fast forward to 2023, after Ryan Seacrest departed from *LIVE*, Consuelos joined Ripa as her co-host, making their dynamic even more visible to fans.
While Ripa had fun roasting her husband over his less-than-perfect photography skills, the moment also showcased the genuine, loving chemistry between the two. Their relationship, built on humor, mutual respect, and a bit of teasing, continues to resonate with their audience, making moments like these even more entertaining.

So, while the photo may not have been the glamorous shot Ripa was hoping for, it will undoubtedly be a memorable one—thanks to the playful humor and love between a married couple who clearly enjoy making each other laugh, both on and off the air.
