Will Moseley received a football scholarship but then chose to study guitar

Will Moseley is a country music singer, songwriter and guitarist from Hazelhurst, Georgia. He currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee.

According to his Facebook, the ‘American Idol’ runner-up attended Jeff Davis High School and was on the football team. He also went to Maryville College for higher studies.

Will recently graduated with a degree in Biology from Georgia Southern University. In a recent interview, he revealed that he quit football to pursue music.

He received a scholarship to play Division III football in Knoxville but his football dreams were shattered and he later chose to study guitar.

Will explained in the interview that during his second year of college, he returned to his home in Georgia. 

He shared that he has about three or four months before he can decide about his football career.

During that time, he learned the guitar and confided in the interview: “Every time I wake up, I’m not busy, that’s what I do, playing the guitar. It’s the only thing I’ve ever done in my life where I’m like this.” passionate about.”

“I really like sitting at the guitar and writing a song.” After learning guitar, he went back to college and completed his degree.

The aspiring singer then ventured into music and has since released four songs, “Coming Down”, “Fishing for a Living”, “Gone for Good” and “Somewhere in the Middle” . All of Will’s songs have backstories that he has teased on his social media.

Luke shares about Will: “When your college football dreams are shattered, what do you do?” The judge added: “Will here picked up the guitar and started singing and now he’s on ‘American Idol’.”

‘American Idol’ season 22 runner-up Will Moseley dated Ryleigh Colter. The duo attended the same university and their romance blossomed while studying Biology.

Will and Ryleigh have been dating for about four years and documented their romance on social media in a series of posts. Ryleigh always supported Will’s dream and joined her boyfriend in all of his concerts.

He spent Spring Break with his girlfriend Ryleigh on Orange Beach in Alabama and reflected on the vacation: “Spring Break has come and gone but good memories are always made!”
