There’s no doubt that Zahara Marley Jolie is close to her mum, Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie – they’ve been pictured everywhere together.

But it seems like the 18-year-old has had a rocky relationship with her dad, Brad Pitt, in recent years. This might’ve just been confirmed as Zahara introduced herself as a new member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, without using her dad’s last name.

As seen in a video shared by Essence on Wednesday, Zahara may have dropped her famous father’s surname.

“My name is Zahara Marley Jolie,” she says in the clip, “Coming all the way from the Golden State in the city that is full of angels, Los Angeles, California. … I am this line’s number seven.”

Zahara joins her sorority sisters as part of the latest class of the Mu Pi chapter at Atlanta’s Spelman College, per Us Weekly.

She enrolled at the university back in 2022, and has had plenty of support from her mum, who helped her move into her dorm last August, according to the magazine.
