She’s one of the most iconic women in pop history.

And while her taste in outfits both on and off the red carpet usually garner nothing but praise, Beyonce appeared to have a fashion faux pas on Wednesday after suffering a bad run of fashion choices.

Stepping out in New York with her husband Jay-Z, the 35-year-old singer teamed a sickly pink studded leather jacket with matching jumper and granny chic skirt.

The Single Ladies singer appeared to go for overkill in the high fashion stakes, as she wore nothing but head-to-toe Gucci. 

Teaming a pink knitted jumper, which bore a butterfly detail, with a zany pink and silver granny chic skirt, the chart-topper certainly caught the eye. 

She added a pair of deep red ankle strap heels to go with the candy pink pleated skirt.

And topping her VERY colourful look off, she slung a tacky studded pink leather jacket over her shoulders.

Deciding to go the whole hog with her wardrobe, Beyonce accessorised with a matching bag and baseball cap (both in the brand’s famous logo print).

Wearing her blonde hair in a braids, she finished her look in a pair of dangling earrings and an even bigger smile.

Some might say her outfit choices have failed to hit the mark throughout the week. 

Beyonce- along with the rest of the world – is well aware of her husband’s shady past, as he has never made any secret of it. 

In a 2013 interview with Vanity Fair, he claimed his considerable business acumen stemmed from being able to balance the books as a drug dealer. 

‘I know about budgets. I was a drug dealer,’ he said. ‘To be in a drug deal, you need to know what you can spend, what you need to re-up.’

He admitted being part of the crack cocaine epidemic that blighted the streets of New York and was responsible for hundreds of deaths.

The rap mogul, whose real name is Shawn Carter, said he subsequently regretted being part of the drug problem but said at the time he was only thinking about the money.

‘Not until later, when I realised the effects on the community,’ he said. ‘I started looking at the community on the whole, but in the beginning no.

‘I was thinking about surviving. I was thinking about improving my situation. I was thinking about buying clothes.’
