The acting father and daughter have had a public feud for years but have since rebuilt their relationship

ANGELINA Jolie was spotted having dinner with her once-estranged actor father Jon Voight, and her children on Wednesday evening.

Deliverance star Jon, 78, and Angelina, 41, looked to be in good spirits after a long-time strained relationship before falling out of touch completely for nearly seven years.

Now, as Angelina pursues life as a single mother after her split last year from her other half of twelve years Brad Pitt, she appears to be using the opportunity to connect with her dad.

The pair were seen heading out of a restaurant in Beverley Hills, California, alongside some of Angelina’s brood of six.

Pax, Zahara, Vivienne and Knox were seen alongside their mother and grandfather at the dinner, and the entire clan appeared to be looking happy as they played around on their way to their cars home.

Angelina’s relationship with her father has been less than amicable for most of her life – after he split from her mother Marcheline Bertrand when Angelina was only three years old, and him barely seeing her after.

However, despite this Angelina adopted his name when launching her acting career, going by Angelina Jolie Voight for her first role as Tosh Warner in 1982’s Looking to Get Out – which also starred Voight.

She later dropped the Voight from her name and by her next full-length picture Without Evidence, in 1995, she had become just Angelina Jolie.
