Kim Kardashian is facing a defamation lawsuit from a man who claims the reality star mistakenly identified him as a convicted murderer on death row.

posted a plea on her Instagram story urging her followers to sign a petition to halt the execution of Ivan Cantu, a Texas death row inmate convicted of a double murder. 

However, instead of using a photo of the actual inmate, she mistakenly shared an image of a different Ivan Cantu—a completely innocent man who works in finance.

The innocent Cantu, who is 60 years old and resides in Westchester, quickly became aware of the mix-up when people began contacting him about the post.
