Girl Scout cookie lovers were hit with unexpected news when the organization announced that two “fan-favorite” flavors would be discontinued after the 2025 cookie season. 

The decision left many consumers concerned, including Live with Kelly and Mark co-host Mark Consuelos

who had a brief moment of panic over the fate of his beloved cookies.

Mark Consuelos’ Cookie Confusion

On Wednesday’s episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, Kelly Ripa shared the news about the Girl Scouts retiring two cookie flavors. 

The moment quickly spiraled into an unexpected cookie debate between the co-hosts, culminating in a rare moment when the audience turned against Ripa.

As Ripa introduced the topic, Consuelos, clearly worried, immediately reacted.

“No, no! Do not—if it’s the Samosa, I’m going to walk off-set right now,” he exclaimed.

While Samosas are actually a type of fried South Asian and West Asian pastry, it was obvious Consuelos was referring to Samoas—the beloved coconut, caramel, and chocolate Girl Scout cookies. Ripa quickly reassured him that his favorite treat was safe, confirming that the discontinued flavors were actually the Girl Scout S’mores and Toast-Yay! cookies.

Despite the Girl Scouts calling these “fan favorites,” Ripa admitted she wasn’t particularly familiar with them.

“I know they’re calling them fan favorites, but I’ve never heard of these cookies,” she said, adding a subtle dig at their so-called popularity.

Kelly Ripa Sparks Outrage with Thin Mints Diss

After the initial discussion, Ripa and Consuelos talked about how Girl Scout cookies are now easily available for online purchase. As she considered which flavors she would buy, she rattled off a few options.

“I’ll get you some Samosas. I’ll get some Peanut Butter Tagalongs, and I’ll get, um, I’m going to get…” she said, trailing off.

Consuelos helpfully suggested, “Thin Mints.”

Without hesitation, Ripa made a shocking confession.

“I don’t like Thin Mints. I don’t like them. There, I said it!” she declared.

Her statement immediately drew boos from the audience, and rather than defend her, Consuelos joined in on the fun.

“Boo her! Boo her!” he encouraged with a mischievous grin.

Ripa, taken aback by the reaction, playfully clapped back at the audience.

“Shut up!” she jokingly fired back, pretending to confront the crowd.

Consuelos, thoroughly enjoying the moment, teased his wife, saying, “You got booed!” while beaming with amusement.
