Just after releasing the Platinum Edition of her 2013 self-titled “visual album,” Beyoncé has posted a clip detailing her work with Jonas Åkerlund on two of the album’s music videos.

In “Behind the Scenes: Jonas Akerlund,” we see how the director learned about Beyoncé’s visual album idea and how he approached the project.
“Part of my challenge with her is to take her to places that maybe she hasn’t been, and maybe take a step out her comfort zone,” he says.
The Swedish director’s music video credits including the multi-award-winning clip for Madonna’s “Ray of Light,” Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” and Smashing Pumpkins’ “Try, Try, Try.”

He also directed Beyoncé and Jay Z’s 2014 concert film documenting their “On The Run” tour.

“Beyoncé: Platinum Edition” was released late last month and includes new songs, remixes and a live performance
